Illiana Christian senior guard Sienna Eenigenburg has continued to be a consistent contributor on both ends of the floor for the Vikings throughout the heart of the season, providing scoring, rebounding and defensive production in a variety of roles.
In the Vikings’ recent matchup against Lowell, Illiana Christian fell 54-34 on Jan. 20, with Eenigenburg recording one rebound, one steal and one block while helping anchor the perimeter defensively.
Earlier in the week, she turned in one of her most complete all-around performances in a 53-33 win over Lake Station Edison on Jan. 15, finishing with eight points while also contributing at the free-throw line and on the glass. Against Kankakee Valley on Jan. 13, she added two assists, four rebounds and two steals, and followed that with a strong effort versus Hammond Bishop Noll on Jan. 12, posting two assists, three rebounds and three steals.
Eenigenburg also played a key role in wins over Whiting and Chicago Christian, scoring 12 points against Whiting on Jan. 8 and six points against Chicago Christian on Jan. 10. Earlier in the season, she reached double figures against Hobart and River Forest, showing her ability to contribute offensively while remaining active defensively.
The 5-foot-7 senior guard has provided steady minutes at both guard spots, combining perimeter defense, rebounding and timely scoring as Illiana Christian continues its push through conference play and toward the postseason.
