Illiana Christian continued its tradition of success during the 2026 baseball season, finishing with an 18–11 record and an undefeated 8–0 mark in Greater South Shore Conference play.
The Vikings once again proved they could compete with some of the top programs in northwest Indiana while adding another conference championship to the program’s résumé.
The season featured several memorable victories. Illiana Christian opened the year with a 9–0 win over Boone Grove and later picked up important wins against Wheeler, Calumet Christian, Glenn, Portage, and Hanover Central. The Vikings also showed their ability to win tight games, edging Glenn 8–7, Portage 6–5, and Hanover Central 9–4. Over the course of the season, Illiana outscored opponents 189–107, backed by strong play at home (11–5), steady results on the road (6–6), and a perfect mark in neutral‑site action (1–0).
Offensively, Illiana Christian consistently found ways to produce runs. In the sectional victory over Hanover Central, the Vikings posted a .333 batting average and a .379 on‑base percentage, highlighting the balanced lineup that fueled their postseason success.
Unfortunately, the Vikings’ season ended June 1 with a 5–0 loss to the Andrean 59ers, closing out a memorable and highly competitive campaign for Illiana Christian.
