Illiana Christian baseball fell at home Wednesday night, dropping a 6–1 decision to Munster in a non‑conference matchup.

Munster opened the scoring in the third inning, added another run in the fifth, and broke the game open with four runs in the sixth. Illiana Christian answered with a lone run in the bottom of the seventh, but the rally came too late.
Sophomore Aden Batz provided the highlight for the Vikings’ offense, going 1‑for‑1 with the team’s only RBI. Senior Spencer Bandstra also collected a hit, as Illiana managed just two hits against Munster’s pitching.
On the mound, senior Tanner Post started strong, working two scoreless innings with three strikeouts while allowing just one hit. Freshman Tyler Hutton followed with two innings, yielding one unearned run on two hits. Munster’s Danny Bevil earned the win, throwing a complete game with five strikeouts and limiting Illiana to two hits.
The Vikings showed fight late but ultimately fell short, finishing with a 6–1 loss in their home contest against Munster.
