The Illiana Christian Vikings boys’ soccer team concluded the 2025 season with a commendable record of 12-4-1, securing second place in the Greater South Shore Conference with a 3-1 record.
The Vikings began their season on August 19 with a 2-0 road loss to Chesterton. However, they quickly rebounded with several strong performances, including victories over Hobart, River Forest, and Kankakee Valley.
During the core of their schedule, Illiana Christian maintained consistency against both conference and non-conference opponents. They achieved notable results such as a defensive draw against Valparaiso and wins over Munster, Wheeler, and Hanover Central.
In sectional play, Illiana Christian faced off against rival Hammond Bishop Noll twice within one week. They were defeated 5-2 in the regular-season finale and again 3-2 in overtime during the Class 2A State Tournament at Bishop Noll. Both matches were described as physical and closely contested, reflecting a season characterized by resilience and precision.
The Vikings’ 2025 campaign highlighted their chemistry, structure, and competitive spirit. With a blend of experienced leadership and emerging young talent, Illiana Christian has established itself as one of the region’s leading programs.
