Illiana Christian secured a 4-1 victory over Highland on Monday night, using a balanced offensive effort to earn the win.
Grant Terpstra led the attack with two goals, while Henry Lenehan contributed one goal and one assist. Corban Williams also scored, and Nick Neibert found the net to complete the scoring for the Vikings. Kade Blocker assisted in two of the goals, and Noah Davids added another assist as Illiana generated opportunities throughout the match.
In goal, Illiana split time between Aidan Drost and Micah Wieringa. Both keepers recorded one save each, helping limit Highland’s chances and preserve the three-goal margin. The defense held firm after conceding once, allowing the offense to dictate the pace of play.
Highland managed to create pressure at times but was unable to close the gap after halftime. Illiana extended its lead with steady possession and timely finishes, building momentum heading into the second half of the season.
