Illiana Christian’s boys track and field team produced a wide range of performances across sprint, distance, hurdle, and field events at the WL Individuals indoor meet against a large statewide field.
The meet was held March 6, 2026, at Purdue’s Lambert Fieldhouse in West Lafayette, Indiana, on a 200-meter flat indoor track.
In the sprints, Damare’a Bryant led the Vikings with a 7.12 finish in the 55-meter preliminaries and later paced the team in the 200 meters with a time of 25.45. Dekai Harris (25.90), Justin Jackson (26.02), Richard Walls (26.10), Isaac DeBoer (26.49), and Jaiden Budna (26.94) added depth in the event. Joey O’Connor posted a 59.24 in the 400 meters and also competed in the 55 hurdles, finishing in 9.04 seconds.
Illiana Christian found strong results in distance races, highlighted by Alan Kuzmar’s 10th-place finish in the 800 meters at 2:08.69. Mason Drost placed 10th in the 1600 meters with a time of 4:44.91, while Braden Eenigenburg ran 11:52.96 in the 3200 meters. In field events, Dekai Harris recorded an 18-foot, 4¾-inch mark in the long jump, and Clay Bultema led the shot put group with a throw of 29 feet, 1½ inches.
