Illiana Christian Girls Basketball team suffered a defeat against Munster, with a final score of 39–22. The game took place on December 15 at Munster High School in Munster, Indiana.
According to the game’s statistics, Illiana Christian managed to stay competitive early on, trailing by just eight points at halftime with a score of 23–15. However, Munster widened the gap in the second half. The Vikings struggled offensively after the break, scoring only three points in the third quarter and four in the fourth. Munster effectively controlled the tempo with their defensive play.
Lauren Paliga led Illiana Christian’s scoring efforts with four points. Olivia Olthof and E. Oeverman each contributed two points, while Jori Davids, Kennedy Voss, and A. Vander Meer also added to the team’s offensive efforts. Despite competing well on rebounds, Illiana Christian committed 22 turnovers that provided Munster with additional scoring opportunities.
The Vikings are scheduled to return to action on January 8 when they host Whiting for a 7 p.m. matchup. The last encounter between these teams was on January 9 at Whiting, where Illiana Christian secured a victory with a score of 46–38.
