Illiana Christian closed the 2025–26 season with a 7–13 overall record, gaining valuable experience against a demanding schedule that included conference play and a postseason appearance in the IHSAA Class 3A state tournament.
The Vikings competed in the Northwest Crossroads Conference and finished 3–3 in league play, placing fourth. Illiana showed steady growth as the season progressed, earning notable wins on the road and at home while continuing to test itself against larger and established programs.
Several of the team’s strongest performances came away from home, where Illiana finished 5–5, highlighted by road victories over Heritage Christian, River Forest, Hobart and Calumet New Tech. The Vikings also picked up conference wins against Whiting and Lake Station Edison, demonstrating improved execution on both ends of the floor as the season moved into January.
Illiana qualified for postseason play and opened the IHSAA Class 3A state tournament against Lowell. The Vikings’ season came to an end with a loss in the sectional round on Feb. 3, marking the final game of the campaign.
Despite the early playoff exit, the season provided important development for the program, with the team logging significant minutes, facing consistent competition and laying groundwork for continued progress heading into the offseason.
