Illiana Christian competed in the 2026 NWI Championships, where the Vikings delivered balanced performances across track and field events.
The championships were held on March 14, at the Portage Indoor facility.
In sprint events, Anna Boss and Alivia Burch represented Illiana in the women’s 60 meters with times of 9.30 and 9.50 seconds, respectively. In hurdles, Olivia Postma finished in 11.07 seconds while Cadence Knisley followed at 11.47 seconds, both securing mid-pack finishes. Relay teams showed depth as Daniela Dodge, Hazel Porter, Jori Davids, and Keilah Mudde placed fourth in both the 4×200 (1:49.98) and the 4×400 (4:20.39), according to the official meet results.
Distance runners Allison Helmus, Jenna Demantes, Harper Tambrini, and Makenna Langan recorded a time of 11:40.48 for fifth place in the 4×800 relay. The distance medley relay team—Ellie Ratliff, Ana DeBoer, Jaylyn Podlin, and Olivia Olthof—earned runner-up honors with a time of 13:42.40.
Field event highlights included Keilah Mudde clearing 4 feet 6 inches in high jump and reaching 16 feet 2 inches in long jump; Reece Tambrini vaulted eight feet for fourth place; Haylee Coffey threw shot put for a mark of 30 feet 2.5 inches with support from teammates Rebecca Bultema, Raina Loubriel, Melodie Bruns, and Hope Aardsma adding depth to the squad.
Illiana’s showing reflected versatility and competitive spirit across the championships.
