Illiana Christian girls’ soccer team maintained its momentum Tuesday night with a 4-0 victory over Morgan Township, utilizing a sharp attack and disciplined defense to establish control early in the match.
The Vikings were led by Sienna Eenigenburg, who scored twice to lead the offense. Ashlee VaneerMeer and Cayden Petersen each added a goal, providing Illiana with four different scoring contributions during the night. The team’s defense remained organized and limited Morgan Township’s chances, securing a clean sheet. This win contributed to the Vikings’ strong start to the season, highlighting both their finishing ability up front and teamwork across the field.
Morgan Township continued to compete throughout the match, maintaining stretches of possession and working to create opportunities but ultimately failed to break through against Illiana’s back line. The Vikings aim to build on this result as conference play intensifies, while Morgan Township seeks to regroup and carry forward positives from this competitive matchup.
