Illiana Christian turned in multiple podium finishes at the Lake County Invitational, highlighted by two runner-up performances and a strong collection of scoring efforts across the lineup.
The tournament was held Jan. 10 at the Lake County Invite.
Benjamin Armstrong led the Vikings with a second-place finish at 126 pounds, scoring 25.5 team points. Caden Morrissey matched that total with a runner-up showing at 138. Jared Antunez added a third-place finish at 132, contributing 19 points to the team score.
Additional point scorers included Cayden Rasmason, who placed seventh at 144, Jacob Rozendal with a sixth-place finish at 157, and Cade DeJong, who earned seventh at 285. Jack VanNoort (165) and Jacob VanderLaan (175) both placed eighth, while SirKalib Winston (150), Benjamin Admiraal (190) and Carter Misch (215) added to the team total despite finishing outside the top eight.
Illiana Christian finished with 132.5 points in the team standings, using depth across the middle and upper weights to secure multiple placement finishes throughout the day.
Up next, Illiana Christian will compete at the Lake Station Super 8 on Friday, Jan. 24, beginning at 7 a.m. at Lake Station Edison.
