The Illiana Christian boys basketball team is set to begin a new season under the guidance of veteran head coach Tom Roozeboom. Last season, Roozeboom achieved a significant milestone by securing his 100th victory since the program’s relocation to Indiana.
According to available records, this achievement was marked by a 48-41 win over Whitko, concluding another successful campaign and reinforcing Roozeboom’s leadership and long-term influence on the Vikings program. The upcoming season will commence on November 25 at Kouts High School in Kouts, Indiana.
Roozeboom’s tenure has been characterized by an emphasis on disciplined defense, structured offense, and player development both on and off the court. His ability to foster team chemistry and accountability has positioned Illiana as a consistent competitor in local basketball circles. As the new season approaches, the Vikings aim to maintain the intensity and composure that defined last year’s team, with returning players prepared to continue upholding the culture established by Roozeboom over more than ten years of coaching.
Illiana Christian is scheduled to host Munster on Thursday, December 5, at 7 p.m. in the Illiana Main Gym.
