Illiana Christian continues its 2025–26 girls’ basketball season under Head Coach Denise VanRyn, aiming to build rhythm and confidence as mid-November play progresses.
According to the schedule, the Vikings will host Portage on Tuesday, November 18, at 7:00 p.m. CST inside the Illiana Main Gym.
Through the opening weeks of the season, Illiana has shown progress in areas of communication and transition play. The team is emphasizing better spacing and shot selection. VanRyn’s group continues to develop its identity around hustle, teamwork, and disciplined play, seeking to turn early lessons into late-game consistency. Tuesday’s nonconference test provides another chance to measure growth against a competitive Portage squad known for its physical defense and aggressive rebounding.
As the season gains momentum, Illiana will look to use this home stretch to solidify rotations and build confidence heading into the upcoming holiday tournaments. Players will aim to execute clean possessions, minimize turnovers, and capitalize on home-court energy.
Up next: Illiana Christian will remain at home to host Griffith on Tuesday, November 25, at 7:00 p.m. CST.
