Illiana Christian’s boys and girls cross country teams both secured conference championships, demonstrating a strong performance for the Vikings program. The meet was held on Saturday, October 4, 2025.
According to the results from the event, Mason Drost led the boys’ team as the individual conference champion. He was followed by Dane Scheeringa in third place, Alan Kuzmar in fifth, Milo Perez in seventh, and Max VanLaten in eighth. All these athletes earned first-team all-conference honors. Grant Sitter finished in 11th place and Joey O’Connor in 13th, both making the second team. Additionally, Braden Eenigenburg, Ethan Vermeulen, Levi Schutt, and Matthew Sherman placed in the top 20 to secure ribbons.
On the girls’ side, Olivia Olthof finished third, Madi Schurman fourth, Ellie Ratliff fifth, Jori Davids sixth, and Danni Dodge seventh; all received first-team all-conference honors. Hazel Porter came in tenth and Jenna Demantes eleventh to land on the second team. Keilah Muude, Avery VanLaten, Addison Schurman, Makenna Langan, and Allison Helmus each earned top-20 ribbons.
The depth and consistency of the Vikings across both teams resulted in a clean sweep of the conference titles. This performance highlights Illiana’s strength in distance running as they head into the postseason.
