Illiana Christian High School’s wrestling team, the Vikings, secured a decisive 67–12 victory over Whiting High School in a boys’ wrestling dual. The event took place on December 3 at Whiting High School.
According to reports from the match, Illiana Christian dominated from the outset, winning most of the matches and demonstrating depth across their lineup. Jack VanOrt was highlighted as a standout performer, delivering a dominant performance at 165 pounds. His efforts were crucial in securing momentum and adding bonus points that widened the margin for the Vikings. The team continued to secure victories across various weight classes, maintaining pressure and keeping Whiting out of contention throughout the contest. With consistent scoring from multiple weight classes, Illiana Christian achieved a 55-point win.
The victory provides the Vikings with confidence as they enter a competitive series of meets in December, aiming to build towards postseason success.
