Illiana Christian is set to commence the 2025–26 wrestling season with a roster that includes both returning experienced athletes and newcomers stepping into varsity roles following offseason development.
According to the program’s schedule, the first competition is slated for Saturday, December 20, at 9:00 AM CST at Wilmington High School in Wilmington, Illinois.
This season represents another advancement for a developing program that is building depth across various weight classes. The early-season schedule will provide athletes the opportunity to establish their positions in the lineup, receive live-match evaluations, and prepare for conference meets later in the winter. Illiana Christian’s schedule becomes more challenging in January as dual meets and tournament action increase against familiar opponents from Northwest Indiana and Illinois. Emphasis will be placed on discipline during scramble situations and increasing scoring on the mat as competition intensifies.
Following the December invitational, Illiana Christian will transition into a series of duals and multi-team events leading into the new year.
The team encountered several of its anticipated opponents during last year’s campaign, delivering competitive performances that contributed to strong team momentum.
