Illiana Christian High School’s Vikings girls basketball team secured a 55–33 victory over River Forest High School.
The game was held on December 8 at River Forest High School.
According to the game report, the Vikings established control early and maintained their lead throughout the night. They employed strong ball pressure and disciplined offensive execution to widen the gap on the scoreboard. Senior leaders S. Eenigenburg, E. Oeverman, and Jaylyn Podlin provided poise and experience on the floor. Juniors Keilah Mudde, Jori Davids, A. Vander Meer, and Becca Bultema contributed with steady production on both ends of the court. Brielle Colvin, Olivia Olthof, and Lauren Paliga also played key minutes as Illiana maintained momentum through all four quarters.
The defensive effort by Illiana was pivotal in setting the tone for the game. The team limited River Forest’s scoring opportunities and turned defensive stops into transition chances to secure their road win.
Looking ahead, Illiana Christian High School is set to travel to Bowman Academy on December 20.
The last encounter between these two teams resulted in a 43–20 victory for Illiana Christian on December 21 of last season.
