The match took place on November 11, 2025, at Morgan Township High School in Valparaiso, Indiana. According to reports, Morgan Township established an early lead with a 17-8 advantage by the end of the first quarter and continued to expand their lead throughout the game. Junior guard Saffy Thompson-Woods was instrumental for the Cherokees, contributing 9 field goals and scoring a total of 22 points, with 19 of those points scored in the first half. In contrast, Illiana Christian faced challenges offensively, managing only 19 points overall and frequently turning over the ball as they fell behind in the first half.
