Ellyson Oeverman wrapped up her senior season as a consistent contributor for Illiana Christian girls basketball during the 2025–26 campaign.
The senior forward appeared in 19 games and provided reliable minutes throughout conference play and postseason action. Illiana Christian’s season came to a close Feb. 3 with a sectional loss to Lowell, marking the final game of Oeverman’s high school career.
Oeverman finished the season averaging 2.6 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 0.4 assists per game while contributing defensively and on the glass. She ranked among the top players in her class within the Northwest Crossroads Conference for charges drawn, reflecting her willingness to play physically and sacrifice for her team. Her rebounding average exceeded the national average for her position, giving Illiana Christian added interior support throughout the season.
Oeverman contributed in several key moments, including wins over Lake Station Edison, Chicago Christian, and Whiting. She delivered efficient shooting performances when called upon and remained active defensively, adding rebounds and hustle plays that did not always show in the box score.
As a senior, Oeverman brought experience, effort, and consistency to the floor, helping anchor Illiana Christian’s rotation during a demanding schedule. Her steady presence and team-first approach played an important role throughout the Vikings’ 2025–26 season.
