As summer winds down, Illiana Christian High School’s girls volleyball team is preparing for a promising 2025 campaign under the guidance of the coaching staff. With a renewed focus on strategy and cohesion, the Vikings are looking to build on last season’s strong playoff showing.
The coaching staff returns a core group of experienced varsity players who have competed in high-pressure situations and are ready to take another step forward. Off-season training has centered on improving serve-receive accuracy, developing quicker transition attacks, and sharpening defensive formations to adapt to a variety of opponents.
Early non-conference matches in late August will be used to test rotations, evaluate chemistry, and identify the most effective lineup combinations before the conference schedule begins. With a competitive slate ahead, expectations are high for the Vikings to make a deep postseason run.
Fans can expect an energized atmosphere inside Illiana’s main gym, where school pride and community support play a vital role in every set. For Illiana Christian, the upcoming season is not only about chasing victories—it’s about continuing to strengthen team culture, develop leadership on the court, and uphold the traditions that define Vikings volleyball.
